Pennsylvania Yellow Dot Program

Pennsylvania's Yellow Dot Program was created to assist citizens in the "golden hour" of emergency care following a traffic crash when they may not be able to communicate themselves. Placing a yellow dot in your vehicle's rear window alerts first responders to check your glove compartment for vital information to ensure that you receive the critical medical attention you need

CarFit

The AARP Smart Driver Course is one of many programs offered by AARP Driver Safety. It's the nation's largest classroom and online driver safety course and it's designed especially for drivers age 50 and older.

The AARP Smart Driver course will help you refresh your driving skills, and may even help you save on your auto insurance! Members can take the course at a discounted rate, in a classroom or online.

An evaluation of the course found that 97% of participants changed at least one driving habit as a result of what they learned.

CarFit is an educational program that offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles "fit" them.

The CarFit program also provides information and materials on community-specific resources that could enhance their safety as drivers, and/or increase their mobility in the community.

At a CarFit event, a team of trained technicians and/or health professionals work with each participant to ensure they "fit" their vehicle properly for maximum comfort and safety. A CarFit check takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
